What is Subnasal Lip Advancement?

A Lip Lift (or Sub-Nasal Lip Lift) is an innovative procedure that removes a small amount of skin near the base of the nose to shorten the skin in between the nose and the upper lip. For the right client, this permanently improves facial balance and makes the upper lip look fuller (and younger).

What are the benefits?

A Lip Lift permanently increases the visual size of the upper red lip, providing a benefit many people look for in dermal fillers that only last for 6 – 12 months. Additionally, slightly decreasing the size of the skin above the lips can result in better facial balance and a more natural look. Finally, the procedure allows the teeth to show more when smiling.

There is some temporary swelling of the upper lip but the incision is hidden in the base of the nose. Most clients are fine working from home a day after the procedure, but we recommend avoiding strenuous activity for a week and then gradually resuming full activity over 2-3 weeks.

A Lip Lift can be performed with a local anesthetic and light oral sedation. Pain is usually minimal and is easily controlled with Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Easy, supported medication administration

GLP-1s are most effective when they are injected under the skin. An insulin syringe is used and the needle is tiny (most people feel that it doesn’t hurt at all once you know what you are doing!). However, one of the biggest challenges for people without a medical background is the actual administration of the medication. Having to measure and draw the correct amount medication out of a multi-use vial in a consistent and sterile manner can be difficult for some.

We give you pre-filled syringes (no measuring necessary) and provide hands-on training and all the supplies needed for simple, mistake-proof weekly injections.

Yes, an individual with a BMI of less than 25 are unlikely to be a candidate for GLP-1 medications. Also, women who are pregnant or breast feeding, people who have had a history of pancreatitis, and individuals with active gallbladder disease are likely not able to take GLP-1 medications. A few other rare conditions are also contraindications.
