Evolutions Medical Spa won “Best Medical Spa” in the Independent’s Readers Poll awards published last week! This is our third consecutive win in this category. We are grateful to our clients and the Santa Barbara community for voting for us. Thank you!

When Santa Barbara cosmetic surgeon Dr. Terry Perkins began thinking of the concept of a medical spa, he envisioned providing non-invasive or minimally invasive medical aesthetic services using the most innovative and up-to-date technology in a luxurious spa environment. Almost six years later, Evolutions is the largest medical spa in the Santa Barbara area, with a highly-trained staff of aesthetic nurses and medical aestheticians, all personally trained by Dr. Perkins.

What differentiates a medical spa from a day spa is that the services are “medical” and aimed at improving something on the client whereas a day spa focuses on relaxation and pampering. What differentiates Evolutions from most other medical spas is that Dr. Perkins, the spa’s Medical Director, plays an active role in the spa, seeing and treating clients at Evolutions several days each week. All medical spas are backed by a physician, but many do not actively participate in the medspa’s day to day activities. Dr. Perkins supervision keeps the quality of services rendered consistent and above standard.

Some of the most popular services offered at Evolutions are injectable anti-wrinkle treatments of Botox, Dysport, and dermal fillers (i.e. Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane). FotoFacials and Laser Facials are also widely sought after skin treatments that improve uneven pigmentation (from sun damage, age spots, etc.,), tighten pores, and address fine lines and wrinkles. Laser Hair Removal is another favorite service because we have multiple hair removal technologies to best serve the individual needs of every hair color and skin type. Medical grade chemical peels offer extraordinary exfoliation for a dramatic result in a short amount of time.
