Employee Spotlight: Kara Georgiadis
What really makes Evolutions special is our wonderful staff. When we started Evolutions Medical Spa back in 2005 we had 5 employees. We are now up to over 30! They are all great people and they work very hard everyday to make your experience with Evolutions the best it can be. We do this feature to let you know a little bit more about the people that make up the Evolutions’ team. We highlight two employees each month. This month the spotlight is on Kara Georgiadis, our lead medical clinician, and Carrie Vuich, our Spa Director.
Meet Kara Georgiadis, PA-C, our lead medical clinician!
Kara is our lead Medical Clinician and has worked at Evolutions for 4+ years. Kara has developed so many wonderful relationships with her patients that regularly see her and enjoys the nice family environment here.
What is the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had (prior to evolutions)?
I used to work at a Dermatology office before entering PA school. My physician loved to teach and was the first person to teach me how to suture. This position sparked my interest in aesthetics.
What do you like about working at Evolutions?
Evolutions is a family-owned business and that is one of the unique and best aspects of working here. Dr. Perkins is one of the kindest and most hardworking doctors I have ever worked with. His unwavering compassion and dedication to his patients sets the standard of patient care and our culture of care at Evolutions. I’ve never worked in a place before that I truly enjoy and love working with everyone– both staff and my patients. The Perkins makes Evolutions an extension of their family and, as their staff, we make our patients and clients an extension of our Evolutions family.
What is your favorite aesthetic treatment to perform? Why?
My favorite treatment to perform is the one that is most appropriate in achieving my patient’s goal. It’s the perfect combination of science and art. Every face has its intrinsic beauty and balance that requires respect. My job as an aesthetic clinician is to restore and bring that unique aspect to light.
What is your preferred treatment at Evolutions to have done?
It is difficult to pick just one treatment! I love the Ellipse IPL treatment to help reduce my blemishes for newer, healthier looking skin. Plus, the results are seen very quickly after the treatment!
What is your #1 home care product sold at Evolutions? Why?
Retin A/Retinol is a well-studied product I incorporate into my skincare routine to encourage cell turnover, stimulate collagen, treat acne, minimize wrinkles, and more!! Almost every patient should be using this.
What is your favorite quote / mantra / words of wisdom?
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” – Mother Teresa
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
My husband and I love snowboarding. We try to go as much as possible in the winter, I find the experience to be magical to me.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time with my husband and dog. We just got married in August!
