Cellulite Treatment by Cellfina in Santa Barbara

Evolutions is excited to offer Cellfina –  a cellulite treatment that is clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least 2 years. This is the longest FDA-cleared duration for a cellulite treatment.

What causes cellulite?
Cellulite is most commonly seen in the thighs and buttocks. There are connective bands woven throughout the fat and the tight bands pull down the skin, creating a puckering (or dimpling) that can be seen on the surface. Having cellulite does not mean you are overweight. If women in your family have cellulite, there is a good chance you will have it too, regardless of your weight.

How does Cellfina work?
Cellfina treats the primary structural cause of cellulite – the connective bands that are creating the puckering. A Cellfina treatment releases the tension of the connective bands. When the tension is gone, the skin bounces back and smoothes out.

Does Cellfina involve cutting to release the bands?
Cellfina uses a minimally-invasive, small needle-sized device to treat the cellulite-causing bands just beneath the surface. A Cellfina treatment does not involve an operating room or general anesthesia.

When will I see improvement?
Results can be seen in as little as 3 days. In a pivotal patient study:

  • 85% of the patients were satisfied 3 months post-treatment
  • 94% were satisfied 1 year post-treatment
  • 96% were satisfied 2 years post-treatment (this surpasses the patient satisfaction rate of other leading cellulite treatments)

How long is a Cellfina procedure?
A Cellfina treatment for the buttocks and thighs will be about 1 hour.

Are there side effects?
In the pivotal study, no serious adverse events were associated with Cellfina. The most common side effects included soreness, tenderness, and bruising. Most of the side effects resolved quickly.

Can I see before and after pictures of a Cellfina treatment?

How much does Cellfina cost?
